For as long as Shannon Calhoun can remember, she wanted to be a lawyer. Her desire to be part of a team helping people navigate what can be an intimidating process led her to become a litigator.

Shannon works on a wide variety of matters, including white collar criminal defense; breach of contract and unjust enrichment litigation; insurance recovery; construction litigation; trusts and estates litigation; data security and intellectual property matters; and negotiating agreements to settle disputes. Her clients include financial institutions, businesses, and individuals.

She uses her degree in finance and experience in commercial insurance to help counsel her clients and work with other members of the firm on related cases. Shannon’s experience enables her to become engrained in her clients’ businesses to provide them with the best possible representation to meet their needs.

Her clients appreciate her personable style and empathy toward their situations. She cares about her clients and takes the time to thoroughly understand their needs and issues to find the best solutions for them. Her ability to build relationships with her clients crosses the aisle and enables her to work well with opposing counsel to help resolve cases.

Caring not just for clients but her community, too, Shannon is a member of the Colorado Lawyers Committee Legal Nights team, where she helps plan and volunteers at Legal Nights, a bimonthly pro bono legal clinic for those who cannot afford legal counsel.

Prior to joining the firm, Shannon interned for Justice Richard L. Gabriel of the Colorado Supreme Court. She was also a participant in the firm’s Summer Associate Program and an extern for Arrow Electronics’ in-house legal department.
