James Fukazawa is an associate in the firm’s Business & Real Estate practice group. He is returning to Sherman & Howard after serving as a law clerk during the 2022 Spring semester. James also served as an extern for Justice Richard L. Gabriel of the Colorado Supreme Court and Judge Allison Eid of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He has experience in preparing corporate and real estate transactional documents, including commercial purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and corporate governance documents. Conversational in Japanese, James moved to Japan in 2014 and taught English for four years.

He is a graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he was awarded the Scholastic Excellence Award in Negotiating & Drafting.
